Cinematic Theatre Masterclass with Markwell Presents
Markwell Presents in partnership with Drama Queensland are offering an exciting 3 day masterclass for teachers on Cinematic Theatre.
In this masterclass participants will explore the elements of Cinematic Theatre, engage in practical play-building and technical workshops focusing on:
- Cinematic theatre creative rationale and conventions
- Play-building in response to pretext
- Cinematic design - incorporating elements of projection
- Filming and post-production
- Integration of projection into performance
- Timing and sequencing DVD for performance
- Performance with Cinematic elements
Attendees will explore these concepts, whilst also working in small groups to create and produce a 5-10 min Cinematic Theatre Performance.
When: Wednesday the 28th to Friday the 30th of September 2011.
Where: Markwell Presents’ Studio- 37 Manilla St, East Brisbane, Qld, 4169
Time: 10am till 3pm each day
Food: Tea and Coffee provided. Participants need to provide their own food for the day.
