Every day we hear stories of outstanding drama practice that is making a difference to the lives of the young people we teach. We also know that Drama educators in Queensland can hold their place alongside other leading drama educators  worldwide.

Drama Queensland Life Member, Madonna Stinson, has approached the Drama Queensland Committee with a proposal for a publication in which we could create an opportunity to document and share great work. The proposal has been eagerly taken on by Drama Queensland and as such, we are calling for Expressions of Interest for chapters of approximately 6000 to 8000 words in length for the first book that comprehensively documents and promotes the work of Queensland Drama educators.

If you have work you are proud of and wish to share, please consider contributing to the first Drama Queensland book of great practice. If you are nervous at the thought of writing a chapter, don’t be. One of the most exciting parts of the project is that we have recruited some of our wonderful Life Members and accomplished academics from the Queensland Drama community to collaborate on the chapter and mentor and support more novice writers.

We hope our book, to be edited by Madonna Stinson, will represent a range and variety of practices including work drawn from primary and secondary contexts, from low and high SES locations, from school-‐based and community focused projects, from indigenous and diverse cultural perspectives and more.
