TAP Professional Development Program led by artist Anna Yen
TAP is the Drama Queensland Teacher Artist Project. This is an artist led project providing 15 drama teachers with the opportunity to explore challenging stylistic approaches to develop a new performance work. Workshops are held weekly over a 7 week period culminating in a final showing of a new performance work to Drama Queensland Members.
Drama Queensland is pleased to announce that in 2010, Anna Yen will be the leading the Teacher Artist Project.
Anna is a performer, movement teacher, theatre maker and director based in Australia. A highlight of her work is the acclaimed one-woman show 'Chinese Take Away' and its film adaptation, which toured to festivals in Asia, Europe, Australia and USA. Anna has trained with Philippe Gaulier, Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe, Shanghai Circus School and Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre Summer School. She also studied with renowned European theatre teacher Monika Pagneux in Europe and Australia, including being invited to her Pedagogy Courses in recent years. She is keen to share this work and in doing so, deepen her own investigation of how we as performers / creators can be more awake and present in every moment, ready to play.
TAP in 2010 is sure to be an exciting and highly valuable PD opportunity.

The Teacher Artist Project (TAP) is a PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT event that aims to develop and foster the skills and interests of experienced teachers. Each year a specialised artist is invited to facilitate a workshop with teachers, imparting specific skills.
This challenging professional development event provides an opportunity for educators to facilitate reflective processes, network with like-minded peers and immerse in relevent arts practice.
